Spire Decathlon™ Gold officially launched

Spire Biomedical introduces an innovative new product at the ASN conference in San Diego November 15 - 19: the Decathlon Gold End-Point™ Bonded heparin coated catheter, which received market clearance earlier this year from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in long-term hemodialysis treatment.

The catheter is coated with Carmeda Bioactive surface (CBAS®) and has demonstrated a significant reduction in catheter-related complications — such as clotting — that commonly afflict long-term dialysis patients when compared to uncoated catheters in in-vitro and animal studies.
